how the metrosense recycling center works

MetroSense Recycling Center

1. Sorting at household level utilising the existing plastic bags
2. The bags are closed with Waste Identification Stickers
3. The bags are thrown into regular waste containers
4. Waste is collected by trucks
5. The waste bags arrive at the recycling center
6. RFID detectors detect the types of waste bags
7. Robots pick, tear and empty the selected bags
8. The waste is conveyed into the appropriate containers/compactors
9. The torn bags are conveyed into the plastic bag container/compactor
10. The mixed waste is crushed and it ends up in the mixed waste containers/compactors
